Commissioning
Topics are chosen at the Monday desk meeting from reader mail, quarterly link-audit failures and the retest queue. A guide is commissioned only when at least one editor can run the sourcing route themselves and record the steps.
Who writes and who signs off
Every article carries a named author with an on-site author page. A second editor reads each draft against the raw test notes before publication; a piece does not publish on one signature alone. Reviews editor Tobias Lang signs all product scores; research editor Priya Raghavan signs link and catalog audits.
Language and sourcing
We publish in English. Source material in other languages is translated by the desk and quoted in English only. Brand names appear in Latin transliteration; URLs, SKUs and reference numbers are preserved exactly as found.
Separation of duties
The person who orders and tests a product does not set its score alone. The reviews editor reviews the raw measurements and the comparison table, and the editor in chief has the final call on any score above 4.5.
Commercial rules
Listings cannot be bought, and no brand or agent has ever been shown a draft before publication. Affiliate arrangements are described in our disclosure page and never alter the order of a comparison table.
