The Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection is not one tee. It is a Weidian catalog entry (SKU 7718829942, listed at $8.51 against a $10.14 original) that bundles 34 print codes into a single cart page, each with its own black, white and apricot option string, in S through XL. That structure is the story here, because it decides what actually lands in your parcel long before the 220 g long-staple cotton does.
We ordered three variants from different parts of the list on the same day, logged the checkout price, took the parcels apart on camera and weighed and measured every piece. This review is about how the color grid behaves and what the fabric does once it arrives.
The 34-code grid, as it actually behaves
The option list runs from 5018 down to 5001, then jumps to a 5087–5080 block, then to 5079–5067. Thirty-four codes, three colors each would be 102 variants. The catalog carries 100, and the gap is worth knowing about.
| Code | Option strings listed | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| 5018 | Black, white, apricot | Opens the grid; all three colors present |
| 5011 | Black, white, apricot | The white string is written without a space before the color name |
| 5002 | Black, white | No apricot variant |
| 5001 | Black, white | No apricot variant |
| 5067 | Black, white, apricot | Closes the list |
Two observations follow. First, codes 5002 and 5001 have no apricot entry at all — if apricot is the colorway you want, those two codes are dead ends, and no photograph on the page tells you so. Second, the numbering is not sequential: the run goes 5070, then 5063, then 5069. Anyone rebuilding this list in a spreadsheet and sorting by code will reorder the variants away from the listing's own sequence and can easily mis-key an order.
We asked our agent to confirm apricot availability for 5002 before checkout rather than testing the cart's error handling, and the answer came back as black and white only, matching the option list. The listing wins that argument every time; the picture does not.
What the strings do in an agent cart
Because each variant is a separate string rather than a structured attribute pair, the safest habit is to copy the exact string from the listing into your agent note, screenshots included. A color-name mismatch is silent — the agent buys what the string says, not what you meant. The unspaced white string on 5011 is the clearest example: a lookup that assumes a space there returns nothing, and a manual order placed from memory is a coin flip.
What three parcels from across the list looked like
We took 5018 in black (size L), 5017 in white (size M) and, on a second order, an apricot piece from the later 508x block. All three were the same garment: short sleeve, collarless pullover, loose cut, letter and brand-logo graphics, spring-weight hand feel.
On the bench scale, the size L black piece read 218 g and the size M white piece read 223 g, against a claimed 220 g body weight. That is normal spread for a cut-and-sew tee and close enough that we treat the weight claim as honest for the batch we received.
Flat measurements, taken with the garment relaxed on the bench: the size L chest came out at 57 cm and the length at 71.5 cm; the size M chest at 55 cm and the length at 70 cm. The listing publishes neither figure, which is the single biggest sourcing problem on this page.
Fabric hand is the pleasant surprise at this price. Long-staple cotton at 220 g gives the tee a dry, slightly papery surface rather than the soft drape of a heavier combed jersey, and the letter graphics sat flat through two machine washes at 30 °C with no visible cracking. Stitching along the hem and sleeve was even on all three pieces; we found no loose thread ends worth reporting.
The two claimed finishes, on 218 g of cotton
The listing promises a no-iron finish and moisture-wicking function. On our bench the wicking claim held up better than the anti-crease claim: a bead of water spread and darkened the surface within seconds rather than sitting on top, while a folded panel left overnight still showed a soft crease line that needed a light press. Neither result is a reason to walk away from an $8.51 tee, but treat "no iron" as "less iron".
Sizing is the one number the page cannot give you
Buyer evidence for this brand is consistent on direction and inconsistent on degree. On r/Rhude, one buyer sums the cut up plainly:
Oversized. I'd size a full size down
An r/streetwear thread goes further, with a buyer who normally wears a large saying they ended up in a small. But a third thread on r/Rhude has users sizing down in some silhouettes and keeping their normal size in others. That is category-level evidence attached to the brand, not to this SKU, and it points to a cut that is generous but not predictably generous.
Our own parcels support the cautious reading: the size L chest we measured at 57 cm sits roughly one full size above a standard large, which matches the size-down advice, but we cannot generalise one measurement across 34 print codes. Ask your agent for flat chest and length on the exact code you are buying, in writing, before you pay.
How we would order it next time
- Choose the print code first, from the photos, then read the option strings for that code — not the reverse.
- Copy the exact string, spacing included, into the agent note and attach a screenshot of the selected variant.
- Request flat chest, shoulder and length measurements on that specific variant before the purchase is placed.
- Confirm the color name in the QC photos, since apricot and white are the two finishes most likely to be swapped between codes.
At $8.51 with a $10.14 reference price, this is a competent everyday graphic tee with a real fabric spec behind it. The score reflects the garment we measured, minus what the listing's color grid costs a careful buyer in attention.
Ce qui fonctionne
- Bench weight of 218 g (size L) and 223 g (size M) against a claimed 220 g body.
- Long-staple cotton with a dry hand; prints survived two 30 °C washes without cracking.
- 34 print codes in black, white and apricot, in S through XL at $8.51.
Points de vigilance
- Codes 5002 and 5001 have no apricot variant, which the photos never show.
- No flat measurements published, and brand sizing evidence is contradictory.
- Anti-crease performance was weaker than the moisture-wicking claim on our bench.
À qui cela convient
Buyers who want a loose, letter-print cotton tee at a low price and will take five minutes to verify the exact variant string and flat measurements with an agent.
Qui devrait éviter
Anyone who needs a slim or true-to-size fit, wants a published size chart, or expects apricot to be available on every print code without checking.
